Lynda Gauld, Associate

Lynda has been an Associate of  the Caledonia Consulting team since June 2007.  She is a director of her own consultancy business, Baccus Consulting, and is widely regarded as one of Scotland’s most experienced healthcare professionals.

Lynda was previously Head of External Affairs at Pfizer with responsibility for all aspects of External Affairs for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Prior to moving into this role, Lynda worked as an NHS liaison manager with Pfizer.

During her time with Pfizer, Lynda has managed a number of highly successful partnership relationships and has sought to identify new approaches to policy development in the health related field. She has worked in all key therapeutic areas and has obtained considerable experience in managing issues and corporate change.

Before working in the pharmaceutical sector with Pfizer, Lynda spent twenty years in the NHS as a nurse and a manager and three years as Regional Manager of the Institute of Health Services Managers (now Institute of Healthcare Managers) and has a strong working knowledge of the NHS, its successes and challenges.

Lynda is currently Convener of the Scottish Parliament and Business Exchange, an educational charity dedicated to providing opportunities to exchange knowledge and understanding between business and the Scottish Parliament.

Julie Kolokotsa

Julie has 20 years of experience in public affairs and communications, part of which was gained working at the US Congress and the European Parliament, and has worked with Caledonia's MD Devin Scobie on a number of shared projects going back to the mid 1990s.  She has worked as a journalist with Tomorrow Magazine, adviser to private companies and law firms on engaging stakeholders (media, EU officials, and NGOs) and with NGOs on reaching out to the media and the corporate world.  She works with a number of blue chip public affairs/public relations firms in a communications and training capacity.  She speaks French, Italian and Greek.
